The A/P Clerk performs a variety of accounting clerical tasks related to the maintenance/processing of payable account records/ invoices for Company’s various clients and vendors. Performs payroll functions for the Manager to ensure employees are paid in an accurate and timely manner.


Main Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Process a high volume of PO and Non-PO invoices accurately and efficiently
  • Research and respond to vendor inquiries in a timely manner
  • Reconcile account statements
  • Maintain accounts payable vendor files
  • Assist with automation, developing electronic recordkeeping system and enhancing internal controls
  • Identify improvement opportunities to ensure best practices
  • Liase with individuals at all levels of the Company to ensure timely invoice processing including quick resolution of Quantity and pricing discrepancies
  • Process weekly check run and wire transfers
  • Assist with annual 1099 reporting
  • Perform Month-End and annual closing duties and account reconciliations and assist with annual external audit



Associates Degree in Accounting or related field preferred. A high school Diploma is required.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience:

Should be knowledgeable and proficient in the use of:

AP experience in a manufacturing environment is required
Applications including Word, Excel(accruals), and PowerPoint(financial presentations).
Microsoft Dynamics-Great Plains or similar ERP system experience strongly preferred
