Account Manager of Partnership Solutions – Sensory and Consumer Research

We are currently looking for an Account Manager of Partnership Solutions. This position is responsible for maintaining, managing and growing the Sensory and Consumer Insights Program executed at the client’s onsite research center. The primary role is to guide the descriptive analysis/sensory testing facility, program and staff and to work with client lead and cross-functional partners to ensure first class planning, execution and analysis. The AM role also includes understanding and developing the consumer research program; maintaining lasting, trust-based relationships with clients and ensuring client satisfaction through meeting their research objectives and needs. The AM will be proactive, consultative and be responsible for revenue and growth targets, working with the dedicated team to achieve them.

The Account Manager will guide development of the Partnership Solutions program by being the primary point of contact for our client and for all things related to the partnership: improve efficiency, effectiveness and client satisfaction; provide the highest quality of research and ensure innovative and effective methods are used to design, execute, analyze and interpret research. 25% of the AM’s time will be dedicated to partnering with the Curion Account Director and Global Sales Director to grow the offsite consumer research program.

Role Objectives

  • Manage a dedicated onsite team of researchers such as, sensory (descriptive) panel leaders and technicians.
  • Work with the client lead and cross-functional partners to manage the sensory program and develop research plans.
  • Coordinate internal PS and external Curion resources to ensure quality and timely delivery of results.
  • Work with the Curion Account Director to grow the offsite consumer research program
  • Develop learning research plans with clients
  • Stay current with company offerings and industry trends
  • Act as a subject matter expert, consultant and advisor on research methodologies
  • Be a mentor to developing team members by encouraging curiosity and growth

Responsibilities:

  • Attend all meetings that pertain to major decision making for all projects.
  • Ensure ongoing monitoring of program management, including project planning, issue resolution and budget management
  • Provide thought leadership across all client&##39;s sensory functions
  • Act as the project lead for advanced projects
  • Recommend proper methodology and research paths
  • Set in place testing protocols according to best practices
  • Explore and implement new and innovative methodologies to address unmet business needs
  • Develop study testing plans, perform data analysis and craft reports
  • Present findings to client
  • Provide technical direction and mentoring to other professionals on staff;
  • Able and willing to work flexible hours to accommodate research execution needs.
  • Determine appropriate use of any of Curion’s added-value support (e.g., recruiting, statistical, analytical, design, etc.)

Qualifications - Required:

  • Minimum 6+ years of Consumer Research and Sensory Science project experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sensory Science, Food Science, Psychology, Neuroscience, or related field. MS/PhD is preferred
  • 4+ years in project team leadership function/role or management
  • Strong experience in Sensory and Consumer Research for Productivity and Innovation
  • Experience in a managing sensory programs across various categories
  • Expertise in sensory evaluation methodology, particularly Spectrum/Universal Scale Descriptive Analysis Method
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis for sensory science
  • Strong coach and mentor
  • Experience overseeing budgets and expenses
  • Ability to understand client needs, and negotiate costs and services
  • Experience developing internal processes and filing systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong experience effectively collaborating across levels and functions
  • Proven success multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
  • High degree of ownership, accountability, and professional commitment

Qualifications - Preferred:

  • In-depth knowledge of technical tools and resources to support, enhance sensory testing (DDE software, analysis packages, etc.)
  • CPG experience
  • Experience with fragrances
