MAIN PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

· Leads the Retail department when team lead is absent for any reason

· Coordinates vacation time with Retail Team lead

· The primary responsibility of this position is to produce a quality product, while completing all assigned master sanitation; assisting the lead as well as when the lead is not available at the plant.

· Must be able to verify customer requirements for the staging of packaging material, operation of packaging equipment, cumulating of finished packages and storing product for shipping.;

· The coordinator must be able to start, run, shutdown and CIP the packaging and all associated equipment;

· Must follow safety, G.M.P., H.A.C.C.P., and all other plant policies and procedures.

· The coordinator must achieve all production goals or report and document all reason targets are not met;

· The coordinator is expected to promote safety, maintain a sanitary food environment, and strive to improve product quality;

· Train employees in proper procedures and job skills

· Observes plant safety rules. Instructs production employees in safe operating procedures and plant conduct.

· Any and all other jobs deemed necessary to help the facility.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABLITITES -- BACK UP THE TEAM LEAD

· Must be able to perform all necessary checks on the packaging and associated equipment;

· Must be able to operate and complete required paperwork for production and C.I.P. for the packaging and associated equipment;

· Must perform master sanitation on all equipment in the packaging department.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

· Have a thorough understand of the work flow and be able to cover multiple positions as needed;

· Be able to operate the depalletizer, the blender, the filler, the caper, the labeler, the case packer and the shrink wrapper as well as all other equipment associated with packaging including fork trucks;

· Maintain all records applicable to the above equipment;

· Be responsible for all associate paperwork as relates to current needs for cost control, quality and safety;

· Be able to set up equipment for change-overs as well as assist others during change-overs;

· Verify production needs with the Production Manager;

· Verify that the materials used within a run are accurate including cheese, jars, cans, caps, labels, cardboard, etc.

· Verify that the production coding is accurate;

· Verify the metal detector per requirements of the HACCP plant; notify managers if it is not;

· Communicated production issues to the Production Manager;

· Participate in the wet or dry cleaning as needed;

· Work overtime as needed;

· Perform all other duties as required by Manager
